History Books:

In this collection of forty-six brief biographies for children, Hannula sketches the stirring trials and triumphs of many famous and some lesser-known figures in our family of faith—including Augustine, Charlemagne, Anselm, Luther, Bunyan, and C.S. Lewis. Through them we can begin to enjoy the old paths and find rest for our souls.”

A blank timeline book for students to record the major events and people they encounter in their study of history, literature, science, art, and music.

Literature Books:

By providing both quotes from the author’s works and bios on the author’s lives, English Literature for Boys and Girls introduces students to the greatest writers in English history.

Published in 1819 A.D., Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott rivetingly depicts medieval chivalry through the deeds of the imaginary Sir Wilfred of Ivanhoe.

Coauthoring D’Aulaires Book of Norse Myths, the D’Aulaires give an illustrated introduction to Medieval Norse Mythology including Odin, Thor, Loki, Ragnarok, and the Valkyries.

Beowulf The Warrior by Ian Serraillier rewrites the earliest English epic from the 11th century in a more understandable modern style.

Primarily drawing from Le Morte D’Arthur and Idylls of the King, Sir James Knowles enchantingly retells these 15th-century legends of King Arthur.

From the pen of Howard Pyle, The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood regale readers with the exploits of Robin Hood and the Merry Men.

Selecting specific stories from The Canterbury Tales by Henry Chaucer, Canterbury Tales by Barbara Cohen provides an excellent introduction to this 14th-century poem.
